As most of you know, we recently lost a local runner who was struck and killed by a car while out on her daily run. Angela Pope was running along route 873 south of Slatington when a vehicle driving in the opposite direction crossed lanes and struck her on the shoulder of the road. [Morning Call story]
Angela’s friends and family will be honoring her and dedicating their runs at the upcoming St. Luke’s Half Marathon on April 27. A Facebook event page has been set up to show support. Angela’s children, Maddie and Josh, have designed t-shirts ($20) which you can order and wear during the race. To order a shirt please email cheripags@gmail.com.
